Karl Franz
Artist Bio:
Karl Franz is a freelance photographer who lives in Baltimore, Maryland and
works mainly in the Mid-Atlantic States. An introduction to this country¹s
natural beauty at an early age gave him a special appreciation for the
subtleties of nature. His father George Franz was a serious amature
photographer for sixty years and was instrumental in sparking his interest
in photography. Mostly self-taught and attending some courses at The
Maryland Institute of Art, he attempts to capture the visual and emotional
experiences that he encounters. Karl¹s photographs have been displayed at
The World Trade Center in Baltimore, The Delaware Center for Contempary Art,
and in the lobby of The National Geographic Society. The Chesapeake Bay
Foundation, Graphic Technology Inc., International Worker¹s Insurance Fund
(IWIF) and The State of Maryland Tourist Maps have used his photographs in
their publication.
